Looking at Objectives

1.What is an Objective?
An objective is a result that a person aims to achieve in a certain time frame.
2.what is your character's objective?
My character Amy's objective is to look after the plastic baby that she has been assigned for a week and write down her thoughts and feelings in her baby diary.
3.How does playing an objective help me as an actor?
By playing an objective it helps me to understand the motivations behind the character's actions and emotions.
4.What can you tell us about your character within the role of the play?
Amy is a young teenage girl who is a friend of Tom who she has developed a small crush on. Amy is a troubled girl who suffers with suicidal tendencies and self harms in the form of cutting her body. Towards the end of the play, Tom and Amy have sexual intercourse leading to Amy becoming pregnant .However Tom is not present in the baby's life and the fatherly role is taken by Gary, Amy's boyfriend.

the themes of the play are identity ,sexuality ,drug abuse, mental health ,youth ,teenage pregnancy, sexual intercourse, friendship ,growing up ,moral dilemmas, popular culture.
