Frankenstein

Poster and programme:

I gave Michael advice about the poster such as the font wasn't easy to read or the colour didn't work, he took my advice on board and changed the fonts and colours around until it looked good. though I do think a better choice o colour could of been used on the poster as the writing fades into the background slightly.

What was my role and how would I achieve this?
I was given the production role of production manager which I was quite excited about as I have never had this role before. As production manager I will work alongside the director and the
rehearsal director to create the visions of the producer. A production manager will make important decisions regarding casting, costume, lighting and other aspects of theatre productions.
I will organize meetings, verify theatre purchases and schedule rehearsal times. I will also take notes concerning the directors vision, technical issues and cast blocking as well as props throughout every scene and actors positions, which will be given to the director and cast.
There are many production/stage managers such as Harold Prince,E.W Swackhamer,John Stewart etc.
 Makeup:
I came up with various ideas about costume and makeup. I discussed these ideas alongside Michael(Hair&Makeup)and he seemed to be very into my idea, we talked about different styles of hair in which he decided he would like green afros to show the wildness of the monster. I decided to create a makeup look out of the ideas, I used my own makeup products from my house to create this look in about 30 minutes. I created this look simply by using eye shadows,I used a green eye shadow for the base and then used red eye shadow for the scars and a black eyeliner for the details.

Costume:
I talked with Kadie(Costume) about my idea's for Ingrid's costume based on the ideas which the Actor(Vanessa) wanted. We wanted to go with something quite sinister that helped to emphasise that her character was almost stuck in the past. We decided on a Victorian/Medieval Era style dress in black with a possible purple trim but something that wasn't too elaborate or expensive. I looked around at some possible inspiration, one thing that I stumbled across was a hooded medieval dress which would of been perfect for Ingrid however it was over the budget that the actor wanted to spend at £169.
